An online safe haven.

(gifs not mine)

So, after one and a half months of waking up late and enjoying the holiday, it's time to go back to school! Aw man.

Yes, I know I know, there's a time for everything, so I guess it's time to go back to being a responsible student and go to school.

But this semester is gonna be a little different, I'm gonna have this super challenging module where it's for a whole full day and I will have to wake up at 5AM or even earlier just to do my hair and makeup. (Cause it's a 8AM module). I'm not gonna explain much cause it's complicated but it's just like being a waitress at a restaurant.

And because of this module, everyone in the course has to dye back their hair to black. Boo.

All the best to me and everyone, it's gonna be no different from going to the army. Well it might be worst idk.

Anyway, enough talking about this. I'm glad my timetable is quite reasonable, two days of 9AM classes only (excluding the 8AM module), oh and I'll be taking basic Japanese class as my last CDS so am quite excited! Konichiwa!

Okay, let's stop talking about school. So last week I actually went with bestie to Bugis for the Etude House Life Is Sweet carnival!

Basically, with every purchase (of any amount) you make at the store, you will be able to get a chance to play games/face or hair makeover. And which you will be able to get stamps on your little booklet and when you have 5 stamps, you'll get a goodie bag!

So bestie bought something and I knew she wouldn't wanna play any games so I offered to play for her. Played three games and unfortunately I lost all three (I suck at carnival games sigh) and so I couldn't get any prize boohoo :(

But we still get stamps for participating! The last stamp that we got was from a face makeover. I asked bestie if she wanted to try and she didn't want to so I went instead.

Now because I already had makeup on, the makeup artist did touching up instead. It was my first time having someone do my makeup for me and I really liked the experience, made me feel like a kpop star LMAO.

The Etude House's makeup artist first re did my eyebrows and I was amazed. Like literally WOW. She told me I should draw it longer as it suits my face shape. Don't worry, pics will be shown at the end of this post HAHAH.

I told her I wanted to try their new 101 Blending Pencils for the eyes and so she did a look for me which I really really loved!!!! She also contoured my face and touched up on my lips. I learned a bit from her as she gave some tips which was super useful.

I actually took this so that I could send it to my family chat group lol

Bestie took all these pics (really glad that I asked her to go with me!!)

Here's a snapchat vid that she took~

So this is the eye look that I got! I don't have the 101 blending pencils yet but I definitely would get them in future! Just not now cause it's expensive in the retail stores.. Hoping that I will get the chance to go back to Korea again to do more shopping!!!

And let's talk about the brows please. LIKE OMG I SUPER LOVE THE BROWS it was super on fleek please oMG. After seeing how my brows were drawn made me realize that I super suck at drawing my own eyebrows.. TIME TO STEP MY BROW GAME UP!!!!

Here's a selfie cause.. when you had a professional makeup artist doing your makeup, of course must take LOADS OF SELFIES RIGHT??

When I came home my mom said that the brows were very nice and she made me take a lot of selfies. LOL.

Okay gonna end this post with a snapchat vid of bestie playing one of the games (Asked her to cause I didn't want to be the only one doing all the stuff LOL) Girl if you're seeing this don't get mad, can't really see you in the vid anyway!~ ^^

YASSSS am back with another beauty review!

It's been so long and I'm really excited to write about this one!! As you can tell from the title above, (don't kill me) it's another Etude House product again! Woohoo!! Okay, I think I'm the only one excited huh..

Anyway, I went to Seoul in March, that's why confirm got a lot of beauty products to review on especially Etude House's cause if you read my Seoul Sweet posts, you guys would know that I went super crazy over there. If you have not read it, here it is.

I will be writing about one of their product from their Play 101 line. So this year, Etude actually launched their Play 101 line, you guys would have heard of their Play 101 pencils right?

Bet you guys didn't know that within their Play 101 line, there are also various play 101 sticks such as their multi color ones which are multi functional, foundations sticks and their contour duo stick which I would be showing you guys in a second.

(pic not mine)
These are the multi color ones that are multifunctional!

Before I bought this, I have never contour or highlight before. Probably cause I don't know how to and all I had was eyeshadows which to me was quite hard to use it to contour.

When Etude launched this product, I was like "need to try need to try!!"

So when I went to Seoul, I bought it for about 15,000 won if I could recall properly.. But I'm sure it's much more cheaper than the price over here.

Having both highlight and contour at the same time makes it super convenient!

Okay so let's talk about what I like about this product. I like how the shades are just right for my skin tone. Ya know, some contour colors aren't suitable for certain people because of their skin tone, so I remembered just grabbing this off the shelf without checking if it suits my skin.

But I'm glad it did! The contour shade wasn't too dark for my skin and it does gives off the contour effect that I wanted. The highlight part is also very pretty lol, it does what it's suppose to - shine the face. LMAO.

Oh, and it is super duper easy to apply on! Like it's very easy to drag (okay glide) it across my face.

Okay, anyway, there's one thing that I don't like about it though. The product finishes so fast! OMG. I don't know if I used it a lot, but when I twisted the stick to take the above photo, the contour part left like 3 cm only!

I was like "omg so fast finishing?!! NOOOOO" Knowing that it would finish so fast I could have bought another one when I was in Korea!! UGH.

The highlight portion got quite a bit still, just the contour part. I think I use more contour than highlight lol.

I don't know if it's suppose to blend it very easily cause it's a cream product right, but I get really tired blending the contour lol, or I think I'm just weak sigh, better start working those arm muscles!!

Okay, so I'll rate this product - 4/5!! Minus 1 cause it finishes so quickly!!

Wanna see how I contour & highlight?

pardon me for my not so on fleek makeup, I took this after spending the whole day at school so my makeup all vanished sigh

So the features where I would contour would be - cheekbones, jawline and hairline and nose.

This is because I wanted to make my face and nose look a little sharper and slimmer.

Features where I will highlight - nose bridge, cupid's bow, chin, above the cheekbones, brow bone and center of the forehead.

This is so that these features will stand out and be brought out.

Usually people contour and highlight is so that they would be able to hide and bring out certain features of their face. So why go for surgery when there's makeup? Heh.

But of course it's up to your own personal opinions, not that surgery isn't bad or anything. But I'd prefer "if no need, what for do."

Oh and I know a lot of people don't do contour and highlight now right? Now it's strobing instead hor? Sigh, time to master another skill again!

I think strobing will be easier right since it only involves highlighter..

Ok! I will go and learn strobing then I'll come back to yall with a new post and maybe do a comparison between C&H or strobing? Hehe.

What are the other makeup trends as well? I remembered after strobing there's another right.. But I just can't remember.. Hmm..

I forgot to mention, I will then use the beauty blender that I got from Korea (nope unfortunately, I do not have the original beauty blender that cost 30 bucks from sephora) and blend everything out.

Contour and highlight has become a part of my makeup routine that I'd feel weird if I stepped out of the house without it. For me, if I'm running late, I will only proceed to contour my nose cause the nose seems more important to me though lol.

I think I bore you guys enough with all the beauty talk right? Okie, I shall see yall in my next post! Adios!

Like I mentioned previously on my Seoul Sweet post, I'll show yall my beauty haul from Korea! The last time I went to Korea back in 2013, I was so crazy over kpop that I spend more on albums than on makeup. Soon I regretted it.

Since then, I've been saving up for this trip to spend all on beauty related stuff only since you know, makeup here is super expensive than in Korea.

I was super excited the moment I saw Etude House. Looking through my posts, yall would know I'm a huge fan of Etude House and have been an avid supporter of their products.

Yep... Throughout the trip, I keep going crazy when buying Etude products. At least I've never regretted it. LORD'S BLESSING!!!

Okay, I'l start my haul now.

First off, I needed a set of skincare cause my old ones wasn't working out for me. The lady at Etude House (who could speak chinese by the way) recommended me this one as she said that because of the weather in Singapore, this is much more suitable.

As I bought these, they gave me a mini trial kit, so I started using the trial kits immediately and I'm loving it!!

Because it's water base, it doesn't make my skin oily and it is suitable for a country like Singapore as it won't produce a lot of oil!

Oh and this Pink Vital Water is new I think.

Then I bought their Sunprise Dust Block which is a sun and dust block (woah) and soft clay pack mask!!

Since my liquid concealer is running out, I needed a new one. Since Etude stopped their Surprise concealer line and came out with this new one, the BIG Cover, I was like, lets just try it!!

So I got the sponge one where you just click on top of the pen and the liquid comes onto the sponge and just dab it onto the areas where you wanna cover. It covers my dark eye circles so it works for me so far.

The product on the left is an oil control pact. Afterall, the weather here in S'pore is hot af (I started feeling the heat the moment I landed), my skin tends to produce LOTS of oil, so I wanna switch to an oil control pact. Haven't use it yet but hopefully it works for me.

I had to buy their eyelashes because I bought them once and I love it!!! Super natural and long!! I love the number 2 ones, both volume and long!!

Then I bought their primer cause mine was finishing and then a liquid liner cause I wanted to try theirs. I tried it out and it's damn easy to wing it!! LOVE IT so I bought another one at Myeongdong but it's a brown one this time.

Their PLAY 101 LINE!!! When the pencils first came out I wanted to buy it but it is 12 SGD and I'm like SIAO WTF. So when I reached Korea, the pencils were the first thing I looked for. AND IT IS FREAKING 6000 WON LIKE, so much cheaper than SG please!!!!!!

I bought these colors cause I could use them for blush and lips. I used them for lip liners, that way I don't need to purposely buy lip liners. Plus, the play 101 pencils are multifunctional, so BOO YAH!

Then I got their contour duo, one side for highlight the other for contour! Youtube star and K makeup artist PONY recommends it!!

Lastly, I got their lip scrub that taste delicious lol. I need a scrub for my dead skin on my lips so the girl at etude recommend me this one from their berry line (i think). It smells sweet and nice!!!!

Then I got their cherry tint cause I'm in love with tints and last time I had a sample and I love it!!!

One thing I love about Korea is that they are super generous with their samples, it's like the more products I bought, the more samples they gave!!!! If you see the first picture, I actually spend like more than 50,000 won cause of all the skin care and other stuff, and then they gave like A LOT OF FREAKING SAMPLES LIKE OMG. Even two cute pens!!!!!!!

Service damn good man!! I CAN'T EVEN.

I think I'm being super biased cause I kept saying good things about Etude House products lmao, but really mah, it works for my face so I have no bad things to say. Plus, all their products smell damn nice, so extra brownie points!!

I'll try all the products for some time first and if I really like it and want to recommend it, I'll probably do a review for certain products.

Okay, this is the end of my beauty haul. I'll see yall soon!~

God Bless <3

Hi hi! I'm back with another beauty review!
Ever since I bought the Any Cushion, I have always wanted to write a review, but I was always procrastinating. Sigh. But anyway, it's here!
Okay, so first off, before using this Any Cushion, I was using normal BB cream as my makeup base. Just regular BB cream ((from Etude House, yes, major fan remember?)). It wasn't until I actually got an online coupon where I could redeem a sample version of this Precious Mineral Any Cushion.
Now, a cushion and a BB cream is similar! Except that BB cream is obviously, purely liquid, and in a bottle kind! Cushions, however, are like BB creams in cushion form! Which is why it is super convenient!
So this is how the sample size looked like

I received the above shade and thank God it suited my skin! The thing about sample BB creams or cushion is that the shade you received might not suit your skin tone.
Anyway, so after receiving the sample, I started using it for about 2 to 3 months! It could last me that long for a small size because I hardly apply makeup everyday ((yes, I don't wear makeup to school) and  I only used it for weekends.
After trying out the Any Cushion sample, I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT!
I knew I had to get the actual Any Cushion and as you know, the price at the outlets are not quite within my budget, so I resort to online lmao.
So I placed my order for the Any Cushion from Qoo10 and within a few days, it arrived! So excited to start using!
This is the actual size of the cushion

I really liked how the cushion functions. It has the puff separated from the cushion itself in order to prevent it from getting dirty, so I liked it. Kinda hygienic too.

Voila! The cushion is below! Hehe!
So before I show you how it looks on my skin, let's talk about the packaging itself first.
I guess this is a plus point for cushions as compared to normal BB creams! As I stated earlier, it is really convenient! Because it is in a compact design, I could bring it out wherever I go. I mean, I can't possibly bring my entire BB cream bottle out right?
Okay, let's move on to how it looks for my skin!
Specially for this review, you guys can see my no makeup face! LMAO.
Anyway, here is my skin before and after using this cushion.
20151004_233740    20150829_223648
Sigh, so yes, this is my no makeup look. ((these two people are me, not someone else sigh)) Yucks, look at my dark eye circles! I really need to start sleeping early!
Anyway, so as you can see, here's the before and after look! I really like how the cushion lightens my skin tone, my skin tone is quite dark ((don't be fooled by the lighting in the photo, my skin tone is quite dark unlike those pretty K actresses)) so I was glad it could lighten it. Also, it does a good job in "smoothing" my skin, it is able to cover up those tiny pimples! But of course, to get that "perfect" skin, concealer is needed too.
The after photo has concealer applied after I used the cushion, which is why my skin looks perfect! Or almost, hehe.
20150829_173303 (2)
Here's another clearer look! As much as I wanted to add filters to the photos to make it look better, I didn't want to because I really wanna show you guys how my skin looks like.
The Any Cushion does moisturizing, whitening and anti wrinkles plus it has SPF50! Bonus points for sun protection function!! :D It also corrects skin tone ((mine remember, heh))!
I am glad I chose this Any Cushion as my first cushion! Plus, it has a great scent! If you read my Color in Liquid Lips also from Etude House review, yall would know that one of the reasons why I love Etude House products is because they all smell nice lol.
Okay, I shall end my review here! ((Writing this while having stomach cramps sigh ok tmi sorry))
Off to roll around in bed to divert my attention from the cramps ugh
Feel free to leave your opinions on cushions down at the comments! Would love to hear yall opinions!
:D

Re typing this out because something went wrong with my internet and I had to reload the page but I didn't save the post. GAHHH. ((all gifs used not mine, credits to their respective owners))
Okay, so I finally decided to start on my Color In liquid Lips Review!
A few months back, I took part in an Etude House Facebook contest where winners are able to win 5 pieces of Etude's newest lip product, the Color in Liquid Lips.
So when I found out I was one of the winners, I was like
I mean I can't believe it, I actually won! Being a major Etude House lover, I was excited duh! I've used their products for about two years now, and majority of my makeup are from Etude House!
So I went to their flagship store at Wisma Atria with le best friend, Claris who accompanied me, to collect the 5 pieces, to which 3 of it are the color of my choice, 1 is for my mom and the last piece is for le best friend.

I got to take a picture on the princess carriage at the flagship store! Which is the biggest Etude store in the world btw.
Oh and le best friend did a review on the color she chose on her Youtube channel, so you guys can go check it out here.
Anyway, I was so happy because 1 piece actually cost $17.90 SIN, and I won like 5 pieces! In reality, I do not have the money to buy all 5 like helloooo! So, I was so damn excited lol.
So this is how the packaging looks like. As you can see, I chose 3 different shades of pink ((cause you can ever go wrong with pinks)) and the orange belongs to my mom.

This is how the product looks like! Isn't it so cute?! Like omg. I thought it was actual lipstick at first from the outer appearance.

Etude House always never disappoint me with their product outer appearance, like it is always so sweet, cute and pretty!
Sigh.
I was surprise when I saw how the applicators(?) looked like, I mean can yall see it? Its like a shape of a lip!

LIKE OMG SO CUTE!
So these are the colors that I chose!

Now the color in liquid lips is basically like a combination of both lipstick and lip gloss.
I think this is totally a smart invention. Because you know on some days, we might be like "Oh, I feel like wearing lipstick today but I feel like having gloss on too" and its a hassle to carry both lipstick and lip gloss wherever you go right? So I think this color in liquid lips is definitely a smart invention.
Now applying the product wise, it is very easy to apply. What I do when I wear it is that I would apply it on first and then use my finger to spread it all around my lips, followed by blotting!

Here is a selfie of me wearing PK001! I chose this shade of pink cause I think it gives off a sweet sweet vibe, since its a lighter pink after all.

I am wearing another pink shade which is PK006! This was quite a popular shade and if I am not wrong, f(x) Krystal actually wore it while advertising the product for Etude!
I was skeptical at first when I saw this shade, cause it was like a little dark and I wasn't sure if I would look nice with it or not, but I just decided to try it out and it was soooooooo nice!
Like it wasn't that that dark as I expected, and it still gives a sense of sweet sweet vibe too. LOL.

And here's me wearing my favorite shade! PK005! At first I thought it was like a nude color, but it was actually a super super light pink, closer to their nude shade! It's like super sweeeeet! Even more sweet than 001! And this lip color can match with any eye makeup!

Not sure if you can see the color clearly so here's another selfie with le best friend.
Product appearance wise, super princessy ((as always)) and cute! I like! Heh.
Application wise, easy to apply, though for the 005 shade I had to apply like 2 to 3 times till it is fully applied. But other than that it's quite easy.
Oh and one thing I love love love about Etude's products is that they all smell damn nice.
So yes, smell wise, 10 stars lol, cause it smells nice!
They lots of other shades too like reds and purple!
Overall, praise God that I was able to win these products because they are awesome ((and pretty and cute and pink!)) nuff said.
Yay! I am done with my review after like 100000 years!
#klandjourney part 4 will be up next!
God bless <3
